Ancillary Digipak Research

Comparing the digipaks together, it becomes obvious that there are a few tried and tested methods to create a digipak. Both feature the artist, and only the artist, on the front cover. While Tom Odell's has a more realistic, and easily achievable, colour scheme; Ed Sheeran has chosen to go with a more extreme route, picking one colour for his entire colour scheme. For my own digipak, I will most likely go with something like Tom Odell's where location also plays a role and requires minimal editing to the pictures. Other pages in the digipak include listings of the album, credits and some pictures. Theres a common theme in the digipaks too, there seems to be an emphasis on sharing something personal - Ed Sheeran has included drawings, some presumably by him while Tom Odell has shared his original handwritten lyrics.
